When you have to start trading players like Hasek for 2 frozen Pike and tuna to be named later you know things are getting bad.I hear you. Look at the Penguins... we now have Jagr, Lang, Kip Miller, and Rick Berry all here in DC. They have traded or let other teams sign much of their talent over the last two years. Not sure what their plan is. We gave up Kris Beech, Ross Lupachuck, and Michal Sivek .... the jury may still be out, but I think we won...

Go Wolverines. The least I deserve for surviving one of the most liberal, elitist universities in the country is the pleasure of their sports programs:)

Or just
any other thread. I can't think of another thread that I personally will give a damn if you two ruin it, but I want to continue hanging out here without getting a saliva bath as you two spit at each other.
How about Settlements - The national danger? Hmmmm?

I don't know if I can take Helen break. I'm still wondering why no one has set up a Dr. Phil parody website. Every other celebrity has one.

My guess is the military being disciplined and having their troops used to obeying orders thought it unecessary to babysit Geraldo as he most likely was told what to do and not do. The troops were planning an attack that was to take place in the immediate future and probably were preparing their weapons, equipment etc and doing their jobs. Someone might have been assigned to watch Geraldo but was occupied with something else for a few minutes and Geraldo might have seized the opportunity for his big know it all report...The fact that he apparently didn't realize what he did was wrong when questioned the next morning strikes me as odd. As for him not being yanked right away, he did have a good relationship with the military and it probably had to go through the chain of command and an honorable retreat of Geraldo was done as a favor to Fox instead of having him yanked and embarrased on the spot. Fox has been one of the few allies to the military in the PR campaign...Politics of one sort or another...

OMG, how dreadful.
From your link: " Bush has held only six press conferences, the only forum in our society where a president can be questioned."
Refresh my memory; just how many "press conferences" do the leaders of Saudi Arabia have a year?

I like Michigan and Minnesota fans and especially Wisconsin fans. Those guys know how to party. I suspect that it is because there isn't much else to do in the winter, just like here in New Hampshire. The BU guys who showed up at the bar we were at before the UNH/BU game were shocked when we bought their beers.

To: merrin
I guess that's your problem. I didn't ask for smartass but I can deal with it and when it comes my way I do. I believe I said I was done with it, maybe it's time for you to drop it.
