The problem is that for every freedom loving Canadian, there appears to be two Nevillian coward socialists. I weep for those who wish to at least help us morally, not just militarily. Those poor people have little time to save their nation as the next terrorist attack(s) against us might well seal the border, and the economic fate of Canada and Mexico for a dozen years.

The supporters carried placards reading "Chrétien is a Coward" and "Stop the War and Saddam Murders a Million More," but organizers insisted they leave them at the door of the MacEwan Hall students centre.

They showed 100 times the class of the Saddamites with this move of restraint. But they should have showed the placards anyhow. Imagine the public divide if thes were shown on TV.

This is GGRRREAT news! We've always known western Canada was a world apart from Ottawa and Montreal. Kudos to those people for speaking out -- may their numbers grow!

Thanks, Calgary!

And remember they like bashing the French more than we do.

I'm hearing and reading here in Buffalo of a pro-America rally in Toronto on April 4th.

Perhaps the "Silent Majority" we first identified in the seventies is coming to life in Canada.

"Myron Thompson, a Canadian Alliance MP from Alberta whose 29-year-old son, Dennis, is a U.S. combat soldier in Iraq..."

Now THAT is cool....

Gotta Love Albertans!

ODE TO FORMER-FRIENDS

The Yanks and Brits and Aussies
Are shedding blood tonight
In a just war to free Iraqis
They are dying for what's right

And the soldiers look to left and right
And are struck by what they don't see
They don't see the Hosers by their sides
Canada chose France and Germany

Former-friends now call them bastards
And jeer when their song is played
And a friendship they once thought was strong
Has been rapidly unmade

And it hurts their hearts and strains their minds
Like a death in the family
Canada has not chosen wise
Canada is dead to me

I have a feeling our rally in Toronto, despite being held at Friday noon (curiously, when everyone is working) is going to be very large. Anger is growing here amongst everyone I've spoken to in the last week. Last night's Blue Jays game, the US anthem got standing ovations from the almost 50,000 strong crowd, as did Celine Dion's rendition of 'God Bless America'. Imagine that? A Celine Dion tune not getting booed in Upper Canada?

I can't wait for the Toronto rally, it's gonna be wonderful. I even have my posters ready that I'm going to put up on every lamp post:
