The Yanks and Brits and Aussies
Are shedding blood tonight
In a just war to free Iraqis
They are dying for what's right

And the soldiers look to left and right
And are struck by what they don't see
They don't see the Hosers by their sides
Canada chose France and Germany

Former-friends now call them bastards
And jeer when their song is played
And a friendship they once thought was strong
Has been rapidly unmade

And it hurts their hearts and strains theirs minds
Like a death in the family
Canada has not chosen wise
