by golly, you're right! we've put together this huge group of heavily armed people and shipped 'em to iraq, and in that they have absolutely nothing else to do on eve of battle, absolutely nothing else to do at all, they need to babysit geraldo friggin rivera. why dod no one else think of this? it's
the military's fault. oh, and of course also msnbc, cnn, reuter, abc, and everyone else's fault, too. but not geraldo's.

LOL
Levanthal said that reporters can report only when they are told its ok. And that someone is there to make sure that they don't do or saying that is not okayed.
I saw Levanthal say this when questioned about the 4-6 day delay in fighting. He was asked, didn't answer. He was asked again, and sort of evaded, then he was asked again, and he spelled it out. There IS someone there out of camera range to make sure!
You figure it out!

thing is, geraldo is not a pure embed -- he's going from unit to unit. so he does not have a handler assigned to him. he's on his honor. which, with geraldo, is
always a mistake.

Yes, it looks like someone higher up has pulled some strings. Otherwise the military would have simpled dumped Geraldo on the Kuwaiti border.

He seems like the kind of guy you could have a beer with, though. If you ever do have a beer with him, let me know if his lips leave an imprint of Clintons ass on the glass.

When Hume had his panel of Fred Barnes, Mort Kondracke, and Mia Liason, the "consensus" was that if the C.O. of the 101st didn't want him there, pull him out (and presumably, re-assign him). Keep in mind, Rivera apparently was NOT an embedded reporter, so may not have been held to the same standard. From the clip of the "lines in the sand" - it looked like a crude version of the electronic maps guests use on Fox. What's the difference. I use maps all the time and couldn't tell from that presentation where anybody was located!

Thank you so much. I did hear that Arnett had done something revolting and did not want to misquote since I did not hear where he had "dinged" the ops guys. He either has too big an ego or too small a brain to realize that it isn't politic to accuse without certain proof. (Which is exactly what he did publicly to favor Iraq yesterday).
He is an "unprofitable servant".
Right now he needs protection from somewhere, the weasel.
To: Ima Lurker
Since this nonsense was likely started by the big 2/3 to try to draw from FOX viewers, perhaps someone ought to do a poll on Bagdad Arnett vs Geraldo Reformed as to who is more reliable, believable or honorable.
To: Spirited
Whoops, at least MSNBC has fired Bagdad Arnett! Something done right for a change.
To: Spirited
His new job is for British "Mirror".
To: Uncle Jaque
Man, was I confused about this thing. At first I thought he did it then he didnt, now he did! Apparently, he really did give information on troop placement and move. Not only should FOX fire him, but also he should stand trial for giving aid to the enemy.
Joe Scarborough of MSNBC just did a good commentary on his antics and said Geraldo is on his way out of country.

I just saw that too. Why isn't FOX mentioning this? This is certianly turning into a big mystery. LOL.
To: Barnacle
Indeed; the fate of Geraldo seems to be getting nearly as mysterious as that of Saddamn Hussaen!
Is he, or ain't he? Is he is, or was he was... was he where? Who? Why?...
I havn't been on top of FOX News all day, but now that you mention it I have not seen Geraldo the Flamboyant on the screen since about Noon time.
Perhaps he is to be re-assigned to the FOX News Barnum and Baily 3-Ring Circus Division... He'll fit right in with his bright red long-tailed coat, blue johdpurs and riding boots, stovepipe hat... megaphone in one hand, whip in the other...
Or perhaps he'll go with the pink tuttu and ballet slippers, with the magic wand and twinkle dust.
What do you think, eh?
