CITIZENS DEMAND AN EXPLANATION AND APOLOGY for why the Stuart News is censoring newsreportage about Support Our Troops Rallies?
I didn't catch any of the extensive radio and TV coverage of this Friday's rally but I noticed there was NO mention of our rally in Saturday's, Sunday's or Monday's editions of either Palm Beach Post or The Stuart News. Now this is passing strange in that News reporter Christine Selvaggi was interviewing people and making notes for a couple of hours at our last rally with the obvious intent of reporting the story. We can only assume the News editors made a calculated decision to dis-inform our community about a very significant and newsworthy event designed to boost the morale of our troops and allies and support our homefront war effort. We must not allow this arrogant disconnect with our community's overwhelming desire to express its support for our troops- to stand.
The issue here is wether our community will passively tolerate what purports to be our leading "community" newspaper's editors- not just failing to report- but actually censoring their own reporter's story assignment. The ethical and moral stakes are extremely high here- since our Support Our Troops Rallies are a growing grassroots movement significantly contributing to the morale of our troops at a time of war when they have accepted their duty to risk making the ultimate sacrifice- with many having already fallen. We citizens are passionate in wanting to make a homefront contribution in a substantive way and Operation Iraqi Freedom and the Global War on Terrorism will depend on an extraordinary high-level of morale and perseverance both from our deployed troops and all Americans at home. Support Our Troops Rallies that are spontaneously rising across the nation are proving to be a major source of inspiration for our nation's resolve and proactive support of our president's declaration that "We will not falter and we will not fail". Despite what the News editors may privately think is "politically correct" regarding expressions of patriotism- we are unashamed to rally for our men and women facing sand-storms, suicide-bombers and possibly WMD from an absolutely ruthless enemy intent on torturing and killing as many of our troops as possible as well as fomenting terrorism against our homeland - read more.

Don't feel all alone, it is a national thing. While you and I support our troops, many in the main-line press, many elected democrats (Dashole and Hiltery) support Saddam's troops!

Please identify the locale in the subject. "Stuart News" looks like "Bob News" or "Fred News," i.e., a joke.
"Stuart (FL) News" is clear.

OK good point about Stuart, I'll see if I can post edit...still looking for a patriotic babe to volunteer some website editing and word-processing. I'm working like a special op loner here with some glitches now and then. Don't want to be a casualty of frindly fire.

I included Admin Moderator in case he agrees -- he's the only one can change it. I've often wished for the capability to edit my posting after it's submitted...

You're doing great, from what I see here. I know about the work -- every rally I photograph eats up the most of the weekend, between preparing the cameras (and now sound recorder), attending and shooting, culling and processing photos, and developing the presentation and webpage.

WGAL-8 TV in Harrisburg was a joke. We had 8-12,000 people at a rally at the capitol. The first local story they ran was about a crackdown on illegal garages in York. They never ran a story about the rally - but as a lead-in to the weather segment they showed the skies above the capitol dome at 1pm - the very time that we were holding the rally on the steps of the capitol.

It is NOT a joke, it is a CONSPIRACY to lie, and mislead the people of America and the world. The version of events passed on to me by my mother who sees only Peter Jennings, etc is nothing like what we see reported on Free Republic and by Rush L. , etc. But most of America is still watching the deceitful ones, and tending to believe them.

You are right...most of America isn't seeing the extent of the Support the Troops rallies. I think we press on....get our churches involved , email your local VFW and GOP to sell signs, call your smaller local papers whenever you have a rally and challenge them on covering it, etc..rally every neighbor to put up a sign and fly their flags, etc.. The movement will continue to gain momentum as long as we all keep moving. Don't get discouraged.

Keep the Faith and pass the Ammo...forget the Mainline Press liars, soon they will become even more irrelevant, as more and more thinking Americans get there news and info from a growing # of sources. Keep tabs on them and harass all their lies and misleading programs, FREEP them and then freep them again and copy to others in the loops; Clintons, Demos & Rinos, etc. The people who actually work and pay the freight for this country are generally part of the 70+% supporting this war of liberation and freedom,as well as our leaders. The anti's/anarchist/leftist/NBC,ABC,CNN, PMS (NPR) all on the Demo-dole, most don't work or do bad work and they are getting more attention from the STUPID PRESS now but not for long,we are due for some major changes in the near future...keep up the good work, we will prevail.

Good move- Yea- the only impression we can make on the Thought Police at Stuart News is to show that we have a constituency in the community that can impact their bottom line- advertizers and subscribers. Let's get a basic crew of volunteers to man a picket line one time next week. Need to make up signs like- News Censors Rally, News
Thought Police, News Fifth Columnists, News Gives Aid & Comfort, News Wont Support Troops or anything along that theme. Maybe you could check to see if we need a permit tho
don't think we do as last week I checked with City Attorney
and told as long as 1. your on public sidewalk, 2. don't obstruct access and road crossings and 3. keep "moving" (no speed stipulated). Don't know any rules about audio, music,
loud speakers, etc. so you might check.
