Aussies will be 'suicide targets'

AUSTRALIAN SAS troops will be targets of suicide bombers as Arab and Muslim anger is directed at Australia, a Middle East expert has warned.

Amin Saikal, a professor of Middle East politics at the Australian National University, said Arabs and Muslims were out to target Australia for its perceived defence of Israel. He said it had been well publicised throughout the Middle East that Australia's SAS troops were operating in western Iraq.

"If it is true that a number of ... suicide bombers have moved into Iraq you can expect these volunteers to focus very much on the forces which they have suspected have engaged in the type of activities designed to protect Israel," Professor Saikal said.

"That's not to say that you're going to succeed but it basically means that now they become aware of the fact that Australian special forces have been operating in a way which is in defence of Israel."

He said anger based on that perception was being directed at Australia in general.

The Moslems will always be hostile and angry. It is encouraged by their religion. When they say theirs is a peaceful religion...I think they actually believe it. They are taught that non-Moslems are immoral, evil and enfidels.
They really are taught to kill all enfidels and they will automatically be forgiven of all sins and they will go immediately to heaven.
If Israel didn't exist...they would find another scapegoat to fasten their psychosis on. I married an Arab Moslem when I was young and stupid. I thought people were racially prejudiced against skin color when they tried to warn me not to marry him. I lived in his MiddleEastern country as a Moslem housewife, practicing the culture and religion. I study these people and their behaviors/beliefs intensively. Then I realized how much I needed to return home..to sanity.

At present there seems to be a good deal of anti-war sentiment down under, but a few blokes like this firing off their mouths and a few Islamists taking him seriously could be of great assistance in that regard.

No, but we DID assist (Conspicuously Catholic) East Timor to leave (Mostly Moslem) Indonesia.

The Islamists were unhappy about that ... and are unhappy about our role in Iraq.

(1) This is not to say that we should cower in a hole, as Simon Crean and Bob Brown suggest - we need to take a stand against dictators wherever they are, and whatever religion they are.
(2) I specifically blamed Islamists, NOT Islam itself. That would be like blaming all Catholics for Italian Fascism, or all Lutherans for German Fascism, or whatever.

Islam is no better, or worse, than any other superstition, but Islamism, the political philosophy, is evil and should be crushed.
