Russian Military Intel Intercepts War Briefing [1/3 of Damaged US Equipment Headed to Dump]

(Russian Military Intelligence Language Translation )

A meeting was held at the main coalition headquarters, at which an analysis of the maintence force was presented.

In a personal telephone conversation with a colleague in the United States, one of the meeting participants described that status as 'deplorable' and in his words 'one third of our equipment can fearlessly be taken to the dump.'

'We are holding on only thanks to round the clock repairs. Our heroes aren't the Marines on the front but the 'worms' in the repair companies.

Without them we would be fighting from the backs of camels long ago.'

On the basis of radio intercepts, reports from both sides, and intelligence from the start of the war, the coalition has lost 15-20 tanks in combat, around 40 troop carriers and fighting vehicles, more than 50 trucks and up to 10 helicopters.

In addition we can mention, as a minimum, another 40 unserviceable tanks, about the same number of troop carriers and fighting vehicles, and approximately 100 units of various vehicles and approximately 40 helicopters (probably sandstorm related-ed)

This data was obtained by analyizing unclassified technical reports that are sent from the combat zone to the Pentagon.

Combat maintenace reports are not unclassified during a time of war.

I think the intercept part was mainly the reaction and editorial comments from the participants.

Anything from the Russian press that is based on (alleged) communications intercepts is bound to be totally unreliable bull bleep. Either it is made up out of whole cloth, or it is an intentional plant that they're running with to the Iraq's great potential distress.

Nope, but do not need one. Seems like every amatuer in the world is poping out of the woodwork. 20 Abrams indeed.

Oh I dont doubt it 1 bit considering they are part of the bigger picture and probably dont get the edification they deserve . I know when I was on active duty I cursed each and every damn one of them .

I'd like to know who made the phone call .

" And addition we can mention " . Who is we ?

Yes, but this ain't Russian Military Intel. First, the Russian military probably won't go to the press with their intel that may give up ways and means, and secondly, the Russian press is notorious for making stuff up, especially when it makes us look bad.

So, equipment needs to be maintained in order to operate. Who'd a thunk it?
