"Bush is an occupier and terrorist. He thought he was playing a video game," said George Elnaber, 36, a Arab Christian and the owner of a supermarket in Amman. "We hate Americans more than we hate Saddam now," he said, referring to Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.

Good. Bring it on for Iraq is a target rich environment. The enemies of America are enraged that we're doing so spectacularly. If we can rid the planet of their likes, then we'll truly have peace.

The Hashish-a-lot Kingdom of Jordan hates us? Who cares? Their pitiful little country was carved out of the back dunes of the defunct Turkish empire after World War I. The Turks can have it back for all I care, if they're dumb enough to want it. Maybe they would have some luck cleaning out that Palestinian/UN infestation that's been plaguing the place.
Satanic Arabia, home of the madrassah movement and 15 9-11 hijackers, is next.

I hope the "good" IRAQI Citizes voices their views when this is over and Thank AMERICA publicly.
Maybe I am just dreaming, but wouldn't that put a new spin on the old Muslim talking points?

Wouldn't the Washington Post, along with such other bird cage liners as the Boston Globe and the NYT, be more inclined to interview America haters?

Actually, I just wish our INS would ban all travel from ANYONE from the middle east. Especially student visas. Let their oil wealth, and whatever else they have, build their own universities and then hire all our liberal professors from our universities. Kinda kill two birds with one stone. *s*

FEAR

spreads in Arab world (aka the Twilight Zone).

I think your title is a typo.

Better to be feared than loved, at least in the Middle East.

I bet he's never even seen our shores, he doesn't know what he hates.

He has only seen the America we export- America as portrayed by meat puppets like "Babs". And, like many Americans, he has never bothered to find out if reality is anything like what is represented on the silver screen.

Frankly, if all I knew of the US was what was portrayed on TV and on film and I'd hate us too.

We were certainly loved by the Arabs after 9-11, though: that look on Arafat's face, man, he was spooked. A lot of people had to do a second-take on their anti-US attitudes and realized that they couldn't support such extremism. Of course, now they all hate us because we're invading their land (OUR version of "extremism": military might, not cowardly suicide attacks), but it's not like they were going to get rid of the terrorists on their own. Unfortunately, their help might have been nice, but it's our way or the highway as far as I'm concerned. I think it's time we broke out OUR bio-weapons and let the Middle East become a giant catbox for my two cents!!

I have to say "my country, right or wrong" is a great attitude, but it looks like Iraqis are stealing our slogan; they HATE Saddam, but when you're country's being invaded (that's how they see it, not a liberation), it's "Saddam, right or wrong". They have suffered under him greatly, but once he waves the flag around a bit, just like us they git all riled up... This is why the 'reasons' for a war get put on the back burner once it happens: it turns into a big football game, with no more reason to win other than you have to. Anyone who asks questions now has pretty much missed the shuttle to the stadium, if you know what I mean. We're all already there, sittin on the 50-yd. line, with eyes wide open.

Bah, tired of the arab street. The arab street has been angry for the past 8 centuries.

Anger is their culture, you'd be nursing some serious anger too if you were a slave to a vengeful god who required you to moon him 5 times daily.
The arab street has been angry for the past 8 centuries.
EXACTLY!

Something odd in the blood, the culture and the soceity of these people makes them seek and, or desire "hate" as a way fo life. They have been at war with their neighbors across borders or within their own cities since the begining of recorded history.

The phrase "peacefull Muslim" is an oxymoron. History does not lie.

Without the energy reserves we would be able to simply let them kill each other like common street thugs (which they are). Unfortunately, that is not the case.

The sad thing is, we have a president claiming "Islam is Peace" believing we are going to inherit a nation of peace loving muslims who will rally to democracy. Pffffft

They are outraged no matter what we do.

Once the Muslims begin to learn how to build modern, free, vital societies, they'll be too busy living good lives to whine about anyone else.

George Elnaber I wonder how your opinion is here on my screen this morning. I don't care about anything you have to say.

If you hate America you can get press and TV time in a flash!
