Rations were so short that some of the Marines punching the front line forward toward Baghdad were restricted to one ration a day, said Lance Cpl. Terry Pierce of Ashtabula, Ohio, who was recovering from a shrapnel wound. Even so, the Marines were throwing their rations to the Iraqi people as they advanced, he said. ................................

This kind of says it all.
Not only share your meager rations with each other, butthe unfortunate population nearby.
God was on our side when he made these compassonate WARRIORS.

People can debate the intentions of our government for the invasion of Iraq but they had NEVER better question the intention of our soldiers! Nowhere in this world will you EVER find soldiers who truely care about the lives of others as those serving in the United States.

Rations were so short that some of the Marines punching the front line forward toward Baghdad were restricted to one ration a day, said Lance Cpl. Terry Pierce of Ashtabula, Ohio, who was recovering from a shrapnel wound. Even so, the Marines were throwing their rations (food) to the Iraqi people as they advanced, he said.

The paragraph which I highlighted says everything. No matter the intentions of our government for invading Iraq, our soldiers are fighting for what they believe, the liberation of the Iraqi people. They (Iraqi Soldiers) execute our captured soldier, at the same time we are feeding and giving medical treatment to theirs. I saw a picture of a US special forces soldier holding an Iraqi child as he wiped away her tears while trying to find her parents after liberating their city.  I know that our government may have other underlying reasons for invading Iraq (such as changing the political map of the Middle East) but nobody has any right to question the integrity and humanity of our soldiers. There is NO other military in the world that goes to such extremes to prevent the loss of human life while at the same time, respecting the life of the very enemy they are fighting. Hell, many governments dont even respect the lives of their own citizens and we know who they are so there is no need to mention any names
