New for tonight: a self-updating global map of the weather systems of Africa, Europe, the Mediterranean, and the Middle East. You can see next week's storms on their way.

Unfortunately, there are no new NOAA satellite links today. Sorry about that, I'll have to berate them tonight..

Once again, I'm asking for any maps of Iraq, from any time, to posted on this thread. If you run across one on another thread, don't be shy, post it. Especially anything with troop movements.

Thanks so much,

It doesn't mention the local, short-lived, extremely high pressure areas within Ba'ath headquarters in the various cities.

Ya gotta think 80 degrees is gonna be really hot with all that stuff they have to wear. :-(

These Iraqi's strike me like battling some kind of shapeshifter. Frightening. Praying for some kind of miraculous intervention on our behalf, "that the world will know..."

I don't like the looks of 99 degree weather in a week but at least the sand storm potential is low.

The bad news is the winds are light and to the south, straight through Kuwait. This may be what Saddam has been waiting for.

Thanks, I appreciate it. It's getting a little easier, as most of the images I've linked are self-updating. I'm having a little trouble with the fourth one, which likes to alternate between the Middle East and the Eastern Seaboard.

I see you were a military meterologist. Very cool. There's another meterologist or two on the ping list for this thread, I've flagged them here.

BTW, are you aware of any other resources on the web that might be of value here?
