This is crazy, you're right. I heard somewhere that the average friendly fire incidents usually account for 30% of the casualties in war. Don't know if that is correct, but unfortunately, in the heat of battle, it happens.

I forget how many deaths in Vietnam and WWII were due to friendly fire but it was NOT a low figure
