I can think of some people being more susceptible than others. Not every one has died from SARS and all the doomsday reporting make it sound like the long heralded arrival of Captain Trips.

What's the ratio of death to recovery (exclude the living afflicted -- we don't have, um, final resolution on those cases yet)?
