I am asking is whether to believe baghdad is going to fall from the "inside out"? It's not beyond the pale. If we can keep the RG from returning to the city, and we can get inside Saddam's bunker complex, the Iraqi people vastly outnumber the thugs.

And all I'm saying is that we should support the war effort in every aspect; and put as much faith and confidence in the commanders of this operation as we give support to the soldiers in the field; and stop being so critical of every troop depoyment, or strategy that we hear about on the news.

The thing is WE dont know what tricks Franks has up his sleeve. I'm sure they've been planning the liberation of Bag for over a year. With our superiority, getting to Bag was not the problem so I'm sure they put a hec of a lotta planning into the liberation of it.

Why not?
You're correct in being a bit skeptical--but you have no foundation for that skepticism, any more than the press does for its own skepticism.
We have assets inside, and a fair amount of intel. We have the people in BagD directing the laser-guides correctly. We have plenty of Iraqi friends (some who left a few years ago and have returned with our special ops people) and so on and so on and so on.
MAYBE it won't fall from within--but don't be real surprised if it does...
