Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
To all who helped this get started, thank you!
Special thanks to An.American.Expatriate for staring the daily threads, Mo1 for the screamer, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

I agree. If he were only injured (even if a broken leg or something like that) they would drag him out for a photo-op.
He is either dead or severely injured and on life support. (Which may be why we took out the power...)
Chris Matthews is on the "outrun our supply lines" point.
For those who want to recreate the duplicity of liberal pukes.

You should do no apologizing. That was beautiful!
Thank you for your service to our country.

His bodyguard is protecting the defense min.
We keep going after something in the Info Min building. And today I hear we went after the Defense Min building..

Saddams personal bodyguard is now protecting the Info and Defense Min.'s it seems... Sniper bait, all three of them.
I want this action to end with maximum loss of influence to the regime, and the regime numbers in tens of thousands of thugs.

LOL. Media is always able to make or change the subject, if the truth happens to wander close by.

I think we need to watch comb-over, when he runs or goes missing we know the end is near.

4th Infantry vows to return safely
FORT HOOD, Texas -- "We're going to face death. We're going to do it together," the tank battalion commander told his soldiers Friday. "And we're all going to come back." "Hoo-AH!" shouted the tankers of the 3rd Battalion, 67th Armored Regiment of the 4th Infantry Division, using the all-purpose Army expression of enthusiasm. |

Let me point this out again for all... FOX News Just reported that US Officals studying the videos and live reports from Saddam and the Iraqi Defense Ministry have noticed that there is one man standing behind the defense minister (in his lastest live report in front cameras).
This man standing behind the defense minister happens to be Saddam's NUMBER ONE most trusted personal bodyguard. This has shocked many US Officals as this bodyguard has never been seen in 15 years guarding anyone else except for Saddam!
(looks to me that Saddam is no more and the Defense Minister is now running Iraq on his own - but we do have to wonder why he was not with Saddam in the bunker and why is he still alive if he is/was Saddam's Number One personal bodyguard - would he have not been killed with Saddam in the bunker?)

Thank you for your excellent "rant," although that is not what I would call it. Your words help to stiffen spines, inspire us to speak out more to the media, and remind us of sacrifices made in the past, and sacrifices being made today. Thank you.

See what i meant by "green fileds" of short grass up north?
Somebody was asking about why our troops were wearing green (European) colors rather than desert colors.
Seems that most of CBW suits are the darker green, some of troops simply don't have desert colors, and somethimes you don't want them wearing desert colors.
A 300 hundred mile advance can go through several types of surroundings: what started out desert can change in that region to farmland to typical city-scape and back to desert quickly.

Thank you for pointing that out. I didn't see Brett Baird's report. Veeery interesting!

I think we need to watch comb-over . . . He's on our soil. Let him sweat. He's made his allegience clear enough.

I still wish someone would arrange for a mugging in New York. I can't imagine that the guy can go anywhere but his embassy and the UN.
And, I wonder if we have bugged that embassy...that would be high on my priority list.
