I like the pilot wave theory (Bohm/Bell/deBroglie) which is slowly but surely being resurrected. You can't fault the math in quantum theory just the bizareness of the interpretation. Pilot wave assumes some extra dimensions, and a guiding pilot wave along which particles like electrons are carried. Why shouldn't this be true? It explains the split-photon experiment in sensible terms. We just may not have discovered this "wave" or force yet, it took us a while to discover atoms, electromagnetism, etc.

I'll keep my ears open re the pilot wave.
