I wasn't around back then but I have read reports and writings American reporters wrote during World War II and they were largely bias to the Allies and the USA

I guess it goes with out saying if Neil was backing Saddam the good professor would paste Neil for that as well.

Any American reporter dumb enough to appear neutral during WWII probably would have had a very short life span. It's one thing to criticize the policies of your country. But I'd bet that most of these professors outright hate their country. I knew a few at my old college.
