I cried when they shot Fortuyn and I cried when I saw the photo of Giuliani crying after 9/11... and I'm beginning to tear up now. If these accounts are true, then all we have to do is finish killing everyone who will defend the regime, and things will go very well from there.
It might look like we are stalled, but that is only because our troops are so busy killing enemy soldiers, soldiers Saddam keeps throwing at us, into the grinder. We are not stuck in a quagmire; we are fighting against the desperate actions of a dying regime. Saddam has much more pain and horror in store for us, but we will see this through, and we will be victorious.

You're absolutely correct -- we are not in a quagmire. We will win; victory is assured because our cause is just, our military is the best, and our morale only gets stronger with the passing of time. We also have a clearly-defined mission with a clearly-defined outcome.
I'm so proud of our leadership and our troops -- God bless them, and God bless America.

Yes.
Whenever I read posts and responses such as these, I wonder how many other Freepers and Lurkers there are that would have posted the same responses (didn't want to use the term "ditto" here, it's been spoken for) had someone else not already done it. I'm sure I'm not the only one.

I heard on the radio ~~~ if the enemy had landed here in S. Florida and in a week they had marched up and had DC surrounded with 31 of their soldiers dead, and we were helpless to stop them, if they owned 95% of our air space, wouldn't we call them victorious? That is how it is in Iraq with the shoes on the other feet.
