Thank you for printing this. I have saved it for certain people to read. I would love to give this to my father to read but he won't. He listens to Peter Jennings and his ilk (gag)and thinks we have no right to "invade" Iraq. We have had arguments over this war, and there is nothing on God's green earth that will persuade my mother and father that this is a just war, and that our president is a good man. So I have resigned myself to not discussing politics or the war at my father's house. It hurts to realize that people whom you dearly love are misguided.
Thank God for FreeRepublic and my husband, two oasis of sanity in a world full of liberals and illogicals. God bless our troops and President!
It must be hard having parents on the opposite end of the political spectrum, but it's good to know that you're standing for truth. I'm sure it's wonderful to have a spouse to strengthen you.
Be patient and kind always -- the truth has a funny way of showing itself on it's own. I, for one, will be glad when this war is over and we see the red faces of the anti-war crowd when the brutality of the Iraqi regime is known in totality, or near-totality. It's possible we'll never know the depravity of that regime, especially since we haven't experienced it first-hand.
I am a realist, however, and I know that some people will never be convinced. My hope is that your parents will come on board one day.
