Couric..lets just chalk it up to poor reporting.

But then is easier to just record the interview...cut..cut..run with it with no interviewer interruption.

I will be fair that another TODAY interview preceding this interviewed younger students who's parents had left for Iraq. They were second graders in the SE. The teacher interviewed had put up a poster about HEROES. Some had both parents off to war.

The question to one student was: Did you get to see your daddy off to the war? ..Reponse: No, I was sleeping but he kissed me and whispered he was leaving now.

They were brave, but proud little ones!
