The Belgium foreign minister claimed that the US attacked Iraq as attemp to reassert ourselves after the 9/11 attacks. I guess there is a grain of truth to that statement. The enemies of the US attacked us on 9/11 because they thought that we were weak, Saddam Hussein thumbed his nose at the UN resolutions because he thought that the US was weak. I guess now he knows and the rest of our enemies, including France and Belgium,know that we are not weak.

What mindlessness! This was a risky plan with all the upsides and downsides commensurate with taking risks.

Apart from conducting a genocide of Africans in the Congo,
where massacring unarmed civilians, women and children was the norm of Belgian behavior, has the Belgian army attacked anyone except unarmed non combatants.

I suppose US troops in the Ardennes and Bastogne lacked professionalism too.
