Some United States Marines are reportedly running short of food and ammunition.
Others have been pinned down for days trying to clar Iraqi resistance.
But United States Central Command Headquarters insists that everything in Operation Iraq Freedom is going fine.
'Our plan is working, and we are one day closer to achieving our objectives Brigadier General Vincent Brooks said at a daily breifing.
Reporters in Central Iraq have said that some units are running short of food, fuel and ammunition, much of which was expended battling an Iraqi army the brass and some politicans hoped would melt away.

In reality they are getting 2 MRE's instead of 3 per day.

This report came from CBS that missunderstood a commander saying we seldom have a enough TIME (not food) to eat.

How is it even remotely possible for them to be running out?
You just bring in some choppers with the grub and the bullets.
Good grief.

As a soldier, I can confirm that most troops won't eat 3 MREs a day. Most only eat two with scraps from the third if they even open it.

BBC will soon be reporting (or wishing they could) that troops are having a barbeque of civilian women & children.

This is total bull$hit!!! Fox News JUST showed an embedded reporter interviewing the soldier directly in charge of food, supplies, water. And he reported ALL IS WELL. Maybe showers are lacking but give me a break to this piece of crap article-Do they have anything better to do than to report lies?

Not only that, but I think it was explained that supplies were delayed a bit because of the sandstorm, but that that situation was well on the way to being remedied.
This is perhaps one of the hardest things about watching the briefings, listening to the stipd questions posed by anti American journalists, that are trying their hardest to make the coalition look bad in any manner, shape or form. They just keep trying, from all angles.
I cannot believe the absolute patience the briefers have shown these journalists.

(Quagmire alert!) I doubt the soldiers are that hungry. Should we delay pushing forward, so that they can get three meals a day, a shower, a cot, a tent, television, mail, liberty, beer, sit like ducks in the desert? Imagine how hungry the civilians of Iraq are?
