A budding psychopath. Chances are when he gets out he'll begin a career as a serial killer.

THe only thing that REALLY disturbs me ... I didn't even know what sex was until somewhere around the 7th-8th grade. It never entered my mind.

Where do these 10 year olds get thses ideas? It couldn't be all the SEX AND VIOLENCE in rap, tv, teachers???

NAMBLA sex education must be geeting a "Head Start" in N.J. ?

Began by tormenting animals and then vandalizing property. Now he's added rape and murder to his resume. At only 10! Trust me, psychos just keep getting worse and no amount of therapy will ever fix what's wrong with this kid. Its too bad we can't put him on death row pronto to spare his future victims.

What we need here is Federal Ball Bat controll and a 3 day waiting period with a background history before you can carry a bat.

What's the killer's dad do all day???? From the article it appears he's unemployed and without a wife to raise the kid.

This is a perfect example of why juvenile court needs to be eliminated. Violent psychopath children like this 10 year old should be executed. We don't need to waste millions on a trial and trying to rehabilitate the poor dear.

Exactly my sentiments a few posts back. Sometimes I think we're too compassionate for our own good.

While I think the kid is a psycho and needs to be institutionalized permanently, I still wonder where a 10 year old kid gets the ideas for a brutal killing and sexual assault like this?

I'm inclined to think that he has been exposed in TV, movies, video games, rap music and other media to some very sick stuff. Not that this is an excuse for his behavior, but I find it hard to believe that a 10 year old could think of sexual sadism on his own.

I'm sorry, but part of the blame rests on the 17 yr old sister. Who in their right mind would bring a 3 yr old to a public place and not keep him in sight every second?

Maybe the kid has been sexually molested, raped, abused, whatever, himself...not to mention, probably beaten at times....or possibly witnessed some or all of the above first hand....that's what I'm inclined to think.

This little psychopath should have been removed and incarcerated long before now, after repeatedly abusing animals and defacing the neighbors' property. Of course, he was only a "misunderstood child", and no doubt a move like that would have been "racist" as well.

I am sick and tired of criminal "juveniles" being protected and pampered because "they are only children". The laws need to be changed once and for all so that violent "juveniles" are not granted leniency because they are "underage." Stop protecting their identity and re-write the laws so they are treated like adults -- and handed similar sentences for heinous crimes. Releasing this little ba*tard's name and photo nationwide would be a start.

As far as New Jersey is concerned, it is a socialist sewer where the rights of law-abiding citizens mean nothing. Illegal aliens are visibly increasing wherever you go, and wearing an NRA cap on an outing will guarantee you at least five dirty looks. It took me six months to get my gun permit in NJ -- the good-meaning folks in Trenton denied my first application because they said my fingerprints were "unreadable." Even my local police dept. thought that was ridiculous and far-fetched.

Yeah, he has all the indicators, and they will have to let him go at 18.

A three year old should be in constant sight. And I think it's significant that the sisster was using a computer at the time. I wonder if she was playing a game or doing actual research. When kids play computer games, they become like zombies, completely absorbed in it. And I question why libraries allow computer use for entertainment. It's like libraries are becoming arcades. I know this issues is not about the transformation of libraries from quiet places for reading to media centers, but I wonder if this tradedy would not have happened if the sister had been reading with her little brother rather than using the computer. And I wonder how long was the little boy unattended while the sister was absorbed in the computer.

And how can a widowed blind man care for a boy? The mother died a few years ago, and the boy is now ten. And, the mother was also blind and died of cancer so she must not have been able to care for the boy even when she was alive. I have to wonder why NJ DYFS didn't place the boy in foster care long ago.
