"Why are the Iraqis using T-55 Russian tanks?"

Because the Iraqi army was equipped and trained by the Soviet Union back in the 1960s and 1970s. They use old Soviet equipment and used old Soviet doctrine. (Although recently, it seems they have decided to use Osama's playbook.)

"Wher are the US Made M-16's, F16s and Abrham Tanks we supposedly supplied Saddam?????"

We never did. Never supplied him with weapons. (May have thought about it during the Iran-Iraq war, but we never did. Besides, the CCCP was giving them stuff free.)

Hooray for the boys. However, I could do without the pipes.

The Challengers were firing depleted uranium shells that drill through armour to create a vacuum and incredible heat inside the target, sucking all air and life from it.

What a lovely thought. What a fitting fate.

Ummmm..... hang on. Hate to rain history on any parade, and I may be incorrect, but wasn't the largest since then actually between the Germans and Russians in the battle of Kursk?

Makes everything else look like a Sunday picnic.

Alternatively, they [British sources] believe, the Iraqi tactic, carried out by press-ganged crews, may be to engage in regular confrontations, however suicidal, because images or reports of fighting play well in the Arab world.

Here's to plenty of good play in the Arab press!

“This was shock action. It was 14 against 14, and the score was 14-nil...”

The Brits do everything with such piss and vinegar. Good work, Tommy!

If you intended to salute the Brits, putting up Monty's pic is a bit of damned by faint praise.

Many American service men of that era wished he would have stayed inside this tank until hostilities had concluded.

Biggest British tank battle since El Alamein

This news might be a big shock to the vets of those tanks battles around Caen in Normandy.

Desert Camoflauge Bagpipes...Cool!

Nice to see the Scottish Highlanders in there...they have jumbo gnads...playing the pipes into battle even to this day...too bad they don't still where the kilt.
