Al Qaeda members are scattered all across the globe. Obviously many are in Iraq, and what would be news is if they DID NOT fight on the Iraqi side and just waited out the war.

The amazing thing is that people are so spring loaded to deny any link between Iraq and Al Qaeda. They publicly supported each other by statements to that effect in the media. Who needs a written treaty, or video tape of a meeting between Osama and Saddam on Sept 10, 2001?

Fighting Iraq is fighting an country aligned with Al Qaeda. Duh.

What ever gave you that idea? Iraq has been a terrorist haven for years and has very close financial ties to major terror groups. Frankly I would be surprised not to find them there.
