Yes. Over the years, particularly since FDR was elected, it has taken on so many unnnecessary, unconstitutional, mutually contradictory commitments, that it's like one of those people (Sibyl?) with 18 different, warring personalities.

Yes. I'm watching Kent Hovind's outstanding DVD seminars on creation vs. evolution. Last night I started watching the one that talks about all the things that the embrace of evolution eventually led to in this country. What he uses to make his points are two interesting documents, the Communist Manifesto and the Communist "Guide for Revolutions." The degree to which these two documents now describe our country, along with much discussion regarding the details of how it was done, is fascinating. Infuriating, but still fascinating.
