"each quantity of TV teams is in the field, but someone, which sees continuously television, does not have by any means an overview of the happening".
Mysteries around the battle plan The military historian van Creveld still continues: "I have stopped, at all still in addition-hear. The pictures, which the television shows, have no meaning. There is so much disinformation that practically each word must be considered as suspekt ". The former general staff boss Lipkin Shahak points out in this connection that under these circumstances the Americans could successfully hide their true battle plan so far. Of it one is exactly particularly impressed. Van Creveld sees also in such a way: "I have a whole list of questions, for which I found so far no answers". Shahak stresses also that the USA advance more than any other military conflict of the last decades psychological warfare. Over their effectiveness could be made however still no statements. But this circumstance makes first an evaluation more difficult the situation additionally.
Underestimated successes However by a majority of the experts nevertheless two points are deleted: First of all the evenly nevertheless very rapid raid to before the gates of Bagdad and secondly the fact that succeeded to occupy the oil fields in the south before these by the Iraqis as threatened to the largest part in fire were set. In the determining circles in Israel one is thus convinced of the fact that behind the picture, which the media draw so far from the Iraq war by the majority partly completely different reality hides itself. It is, this is already again disinformation...
