I have read the Geneva Convention and I can't recall anything about TV or media. I even went back and did a qick browse of the document. Can anyone give me a cite?

Did you check the 1977 protocols (the ones we're not a party to - one of the few good decisions of the Peanut Farmer)?

Look for terms such as "public". Remember the original convention was written pre TV!!

Well, while we're on the subject of the GC, what does it say about enemy combatants captured in civvies? At the press conference this morning I noticed that one of the injured servicemen said he allowed the 4 Iraqis he captured to take off the civvies they were wearing over their uniforms. Are there penalties for getting caught in civilian clothes?

Heard one of the press conferences yesterday where our guys said there isn't anything in the Geneva Convention that prohibits taking out television.
