Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running over the weekend and Monday, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

It was said in a light-hearted way...no offense intended, Miss Marple.

I depend on my mute button and Freepers willing to wander into enemy territory to stay sane and informed, lol.
Did anyone post this, yet? BAD reporting:

How do y'all stand this eery buzzing between bombings on MSNBC BagCam?
I keep expecting our good buzzard Helen to land any minute.

if a bunker buster doesn't get deep enough on the first hit, we can go back and put another one in the hole created by the first one. Yes, true. The newer bombs have guidance systems that put them in about a 2 foot circle. The early reports of the first hit, in a residential area, on Saddam's "home bunker," had two 2,000# bombs hit the "same spot" about 2 seconds apart. Probably dropped by the same plane. May have actually been a 5,000 and a 2,000, or may have been 3 or 4 bombs. But we can put them in the same hole, one after another.

My best guess would be that Roger Ailes and Co have been very tough with their military analysts in regards to what they say, and placed an emphasis on objectivity.

Attacking in boats......what next.....taxicabs. Are you accusing our valiant French allies of training the Iraqi military?

This is important. He is discussing BBC's bias. I can't wait to hear his solution. He knows how to fix everything.

What IS that?

We are talking about how the media is trying to say that the administration said this would be a cakewalk and over quickly. (Which we know they did not.) Mara said tonight that nobody really knows where this idea came from. There are two people we have been able to find:
Columnist Ken Adelman
BILL CLINTON!!!

I can not get my mind around combat troops getting on a ferry and taking the slow boat to China to the fight..You know, it is funny until you really stop and think about it. What kind of idiot would order this and these poor fools either have no idea what they are about to encounter or they are so terrorized that they have no choice. No telling which it is and either is really sad.

The point was made people hate us because they are fed a steady diet of propaganda and we in the west better quit doing it against ourselves.

That's true. It's just when it's NOT wartime, sometimes it's harder to find the right thread immediately when you want to "opine". It was just a thought!
