"Somewhat surprisingly, Saddam beat even Maureen Dowd to the punch..."

Having to endure Dowd on a weekly basis in the local fishwrap, I can relate to that comment. Another hit for Ann Coulter!

I took a look at democraticunderground.com and most of the left wing people there are hoping we lose and they honestly equate the life of a republican guard soldier with that of an American. They are also talking about if we win they will move to New Zealand!

I know this is just a few loons on the internet, and not an accurate representation of anything in reality, but it's disappointing to see people who are living in America take such a terrible point of view.

Most auspiciously, the Arab League has appealed to the United Nations Security Council to stop the war. One can only hope the Security Council will agree to intervene.

Ann slipped this gem in without expanding much on it. Picture this: As the U.S. holds veto power on the Security Council, the resolution would be dead. But what if the U.S. represenative got angry and walked out (per W's instructions) similar to Russia's action just before the Korean police action. The Council might take the bait and act without the U.S. present, pass the resolution and order the U.S. out of Iraq. Then instead of the resolution being dead, the U.N. would be. (He said gleefully)

Since the first bomb hit Baghdad, everyone at the Times had been itching to use the word "quagmire."

Somewhat surprisingly, Saddam beat even Maureen Dowd to the punch, thus allowing the Times to use "quagmire" with abandon the day after his speech...

JohnHuang2 and Ann Coulter seem to think alike!

Quagmire Recalled: [Iraq, oops,] Afghanistan as Vietnam

Quagmire Recalled: Afghanistan as Vietnam

By R. W. APPLE Jr.

WASHINGTON, Oct. 30 — Like an unwelcome specter from an unhappy past, the ominous word "quagmire" has begun to haunt conversations among government officials and students of foreign policy, both here and abroad.

Could Afghanistan become another Vietnam? Is the United States facing another stalemate on the other side of the world? Premature the questions may be, three weeks after the fighting began...

I am 70, a retired newspaperman with 46 years in the trenches and in love with Ann Coulter because of her great talent. Ann Coulter can spin phrases like no one else. This lady is the best writer in America when it comes to commentary on national and international events. Unfortunately, she will never win the Pulitzer Prize because she is not "politically correct." She has just written a piece that tells it like it is and really took the bark off the New York Times, the baleful Forest Sawyer, the dour Dan Rather and the frumpy, sexually confused Maureen Dowd.

I just got back from a Nashville Music site and heard a song by a fine young man named Darryl Worley. The name of the song is, "Have You Forgotten". It's a tear jerker and well worth the listen.

Dreamworks Nashville Darryl Worley. That's the best I can do. I'm still wiping the tears away.

What's that giant sucking sound I hear? Why it's the sound of a giant marine boot coming out of the guagmire of southern Iraq and then coming down in central Iraq. Uh oh, look out, it's about to come down on the biggest quagmire of them all: Bahgdad!

CNN's favorite general, Wesley Clark, has also been heard to opine that our troops are getting bogged down in Iraq. His competence to judge American generals is questionable since his command was limited to working for NATO. We prefer to hear from American generals. Clark's contribution to international relations consisted of mistakenly bombing the Chinese embassy in Belgrade. In his zeal to prevent troop casualties, he ordered pilots to fly at such high altitudes that the pilots complained that they were being forced to incur unnecessary civilian casualties.

Clintons favorite general...is it true that perfumed prince ordered his spec op units to the atf at waco... under the direction of his aceboonkoon billy boy clinton Americas first "beige" president

>After the Arab television network al-Jazeera repeatedly ran footage of U.S. prisoners of war over the weekend, the New York Stock Exchange threw al-Jazeera reporters off the trading floor. They ought to remove the Times.

What if the skinheads formed a satellite network and showed holocaust footage because they like what happened there. Would these skineheads be accredited on the NYSE floor? No. But because Al Jazzero is representative of a precious, non-western world culture, we must pretend they are legit.

They say whatever honor commands them to say.

I've run into people like that.  They think they can think,
but when an article is posted without a barf alert, they
are at a total loss as to what to make of it.
