2MEF BUMP! I hope what I think is about to happen will. I won't discuss my theory openly EVER until after TSHTF, but if what I think is about to happen, happens, you will see lots of dead Republican Guard troops in about two weeks. With the 4th ID and II MEF, you will see a devastating blow which will end the war. I said before this started, right after it started, and maintain, this is a 4-6 week war. We went in light with "promises" from Iraqi generals they would surrender. They did not. Now they can pay the price.

"I won't discuss my theory openly EVER until after TSHTF..."

Only two things could happen by talking about this:

1. The Iraqi surrender rate goes through the roof.

2. They try to reposition their troops and they are obliterated with air power.

The first thing that the english speaking POWs during GWI would ask is if we were Marines. My 28 man CAAT team took over 600, and I heard this dozens of times. I asked one about it and he said that Saddam had told them that we would cook and eat them if they surrendered to US Marines. For this and a few other obvious reasons, the Iraqis are especially terrified of the USMC.

We should all put the inter-service crap aside for now, I was only pointing out how US forces are looked upon by our enemies to increase tactical understanding. This is Psy-ops, OH Sh$t, the second Marines, to them is a bigger shock than 4th Mech, whether or not it is more of a threat.
