Where did you hear of the gas stations being bombed? If thats the case, I totally think this is plausable and Sadamned nuts are really in a vice.

Where did you hear of the gas stations being bombed?

A couple, three days back. Widely reported. Post 160 is what they called it I believe. It would keep a lot of people out of the way if they knew they couldn't make the trip.

As I recall, the refueling station (gas station), halfway between Bghdad and the border, was taken out in the second day....deliberatly to cut off traffic from Baghdad. At the time, I wondered about a target so remote from the rest of the bombing. Maybe this explains it.

They were bombed out back when the air strikes first started ..
