Sounds like Poulin is just trying to support the military which holds family and/or friends,staying abreast of world affairs and attempting to make a contribution in some way. Certainly cannot begrudge him such.
Compare this to those students leaving school for protest rallies and don't even know what they are protesting about?
Poulin stays in school and poses some questions..seems diplomatic to me.
