"IF this is true, one hell of a shoe just dropped."

The bigger question now is that as we are finding this stuff with made in Moscow, Made in Paris, and Made in Berlin all over them how will our government handle the information?

Will it be made public? Or will it be put under wraps? My bet is that the administration (any administration) will try to cover it up and hidden from public view.

Maybe, maybe not. I think it more likely that anything found incriminating France and Germany will be front and center.

The Russian stuff, on the other hand, will probably be spun. Rogue companies, rogue scientists, blah, blah, blah.

"Why would a "high-placed source" tell CBN and not a regular news network? It doesn't seem to make sense."

Why would CBN lie? That makes sense?

I wouldn't care if it was CBS. If only one, single reporter was reporting this, with no one else talking about it, I'd be very, very skeptical.

Okay, as long as your not just discounting the report because it is CBN, I would agree with that.

Now you just think about that for a while.

For crying out loud. Why not just COMPLETELY ignore the point of my post and count how many t's I used that look like a crucifix. I'm on YOUR side for Pete's Sake!!!!! (UHOH!?!?! Did you get that one? Huh? What is my underlying motive for using that phrase? Hmmmmmm.)

Try not to read too much into short internet posting snippets, wouldya?

I don't care about CBN one way or another.

I do know that Pat Robertson is quite a grandstander, nevertheless.

Put it this way: Boris Yeltsin had a drinking problem, and it was obviously affecting his performance.

Everything not nailed or bolted down was for sale at dirt-cheap prices. Iran got Backfire and Fencer bombers, Sunburn missiles. It's safe to assume that stuff slipped out and channels were opened in case someone serious got in. Remember how Yeltsin suddenly quit in 2000? I'm willing to bet that it was a palace coup run by Putin.

But it was too late, and Putin is holding the bag for Yeltsin's malfeasance.

Why would CBN lie?

We've had a number of initial reports that later turned out to be false. It doesn't mean the reporters were lying, just that they had erroneous and/or incomplete information, which is easily understandable in the middle of a war.

If this is proved true, we were all correct about the reason France, Germany, Russia and China were against us going into Iraq.

In very strong terms we should issue a statement saying only the coalition forces will be allowed any contracts to rebuild Iraq.

Time to take the gloves off folks. You're either with us or against us.

As far as I'm concerned this is simply hearsay.

Fine, believe what you want. The probability that Saddam has chemical weapons is high and quickly approaching one. I agree that the "made in Russia" part is less credible, but still consistent with other facts we know, such as Putin's refusal to support the US and the presence of Russian made GPS jammers in Iragi.

I agree there was a coup on the QT that put Putin in power. I also agree Boris left Putin a mess. I still think, however, Pooty-Poot has some 'splainin' to do about the Russian contraband in Iraq. It would explain why the Russians were desperate to prevent this war and why they're desperate to stop it.

I'm sure he has them. The 3,000 chem suits weren't there as a fashion statement.

I'm just questioning this report, which has STILL not been verified by anyone else as far as I know.

The probability that Saddam has chemical weapons is high and quickly approaching one.

Agreed, but the probability that they will be quickly found by advancing coalition forces is much less. I certainly hope this report is correct, but it's way too early to get excited about it.

U.S. says will not cede control of Iraq to U.N.

I do agree with with your post.

I just don't like it when the report is discounted because it is from CBN. Even FOX gets it wrong.

I just don't remember CBN blowing it real bad on a breaking story. If anyone can point one out, I would be interested to know. I am not saying it doesn't happen. I just don't know of any.
