McDermott seemed to be taken aback by the boisterous crowd holding We Support Our Troops signs and chanting USA!...USA! McDermott stated that the Anti-America movement was actually pro-troops because they don't want our soldiers to get hurt, while the insensitive pro-America crowd callously advocates sending our troops into harm's way. Using that logic, perhaps we should keep our police officers at the police station, after all one could get hurt stopping a robbery.

That like saying you support firefighters but don't want them to put out fires.

McDermott's rant exposes the bankruptcy of the liberal argument. There are literally hundreds of exceptionally risky occupations that require very brave and competent people to do them. Thank God we have them. But they volunteered for these jobs, and are willing to do them. And can do them very effectively. However if no one else was willing to do them, I'm sure many people on this forum would be more than willing to volunteer. Unlike the Whollyweird rabble who are unwilling to sacrifice anything.
