[history]
San Francisco -- The anti-war demonstrations in San Francisco have proved to be a powerful magnet, drawing law-breaking protesters from as far south as Mexico, as far north as Washington state and as far east as Connecticut -- but only a minority from the city itself, arrest records show.

"It doesn't make any sense to have one person from Boonville, one person from Crescent City, one person from Illinois," she said. It does if they're bussed in, Eileen.

Maybe SF can enact an ordinance that charges protesters something to help pay for riot protection: e.g., an extra $300 fine/surcharge.
Or, let them plead to a lesser charge (e.g., being an idiot in public and vandalizing public property), if they pay $300 extra.

I would say that 90% of the Tree Sitters and their supporters here in Humboldt County are from out of state by the booking reports I see.
Of the 12 busts for selling pot in Arcata in the last 5 weeks only one had a local address. They are very nomadic...

So that's how they appear bigger than they really are. They just go from city to city and join protests all over the place. People add the numbers in their mind, but it's the same people! I want to know where their money is coming from as the silent majority of Americans are too busy working and being productive to be marching in the streets.

If I was the judge at sentencing, they would be doing THOUSANDS of hours of community service!

It's a little misleading to say protestors from the East Bay were not from San Francisco. Adding in the Bay Area 50% were from around there, still an interestingly low figure.

They don't require a lot of money to exist so they depend on each other for funds. Some are supported by their families back east, some sell dope for funds and I'm sure some are supported by the left.
If you look at pictures of them in one place they dress and look the same as in another place. (and that is not a compiment)

I want to know where their money is coming from as the silent majority of Americans are too busy working and being productive to be marching in the streets. Same as with all the supposed "coalition" groups that sponsor these quasi - riots. I 'spect there's a lot of overlap in the membership lists of all these oh-so-noble "peace", "social justice", "environmental", and bowel movements.
For instance, it's been recently exposed that the "Nashville Coalition for Peace and Justice" has the same address as the Communist Party of Middle Tennessee. Of course the radio host (Phil Valentine) who researched and exposed this is being visciously attacked by the Marxist Maggots. The predictable wails of "McCarthyism" are being thrown about, but I've e-mailed Phil and told him to wear that as a badge of honor. The release of the transcripst of the Verona intercepts by the NSA and CIA in the mid '90s show that McCarthy was right.

If I was the judge I'd figure out how much the protest cost the city, divide by the number arrested and that amount due to leave the jail to show up to court for processing. Heard this somewhere and I think it deserves a look-see for legal precedence.

I hope they get introduced to some of Frisco's more violent residents while spending the night in jail. Maybe they will find out how dangerous it is to be in close proximity to the products of decades of social depravity. Note to leftist protesters not all of the "light in the loafers" are effeminent, nor are they pacifists. Sleep well, boys. :)

Then there the "Got any spare change?", routine. In the early '70's I thought if I heard that one more time I was going to choke sombody.

All on Mom and Dad's generous checkbook, apparently. This is only going to get worse, and uglier as time goes by, and as our Universities become more and more mired in Marxism.

I'd guess the young ones are on mom and dad's dime. The older ones are either welfare scammers or living on the proceds from their last fake disability and/or racism lawsuit.
