I think we need more surveillence like sonophones and IR along that area..it is just so wide open and vast you cant monitor it.

consider that the entire population of sierra vista is in the area of 25,000 (this prob includes the military) and compare that with the numbers in the article, consider the length of the border and you get an idea of how difficult this situation is.

The military could do a real good job of stopping the onslaught, and they ought to be doing it at this very moment. The Border Patrol is inadequate. Sensors won't do much good if there's nobody around to respond when they go off.
