"Perhaps the most crushing thing we learned was that most ordinary Iraqis thought Saddam Hussein had paid us to come to protest in Iraq," he added."

Perhaps some of them at least see now how they look. Those who actually are ideological pacifists probably ARE totally surprised by the realization that Saddam is a monster, and that their perception of him, as well as of the Iraqi people, has been seriously flawed. I hope they spread the word.

Join us tonight as The Shrew interviews Robert Spencer author of "Islam Unveiled: Disturbing Questions About the World's Fastest Growing Religion" This should prove to be a fascinating and provocative interview about this highly timely topic. Additionally, The Shrew interviews Robert Nowacki of the Free Congress Foundation Judicial Review and we will discuss the filibuster of Miguel Estrada!

I feel more pity for the poor schleps in the Iraqi army that just want to surrender then I could ever feel for such sanctimonious asses like these twits. I wouldn't allow the use of Western civilians as shields to deter targeting priorities for any amount. The final bill for pussy-footing around with all of this will be paid in allied troopers lives. Better the longhairs get splattered than one troop.

"When you put yourself in a position where you end up getting shot at by both sides, are you still technically in a crossfire?"

Actually, I think that officially makes you an idiot! Actually, it likely makes you a dead idiot.

In his last e-mail to family hours prior to the initial "decapitation" airstrikes, Warren raised concerns that he and other members of the group were being manipulated by the Iraqi government.

Hurry home, Warren ... your pals at DU miss you. You are now the smartest person over there.

Nowakowski said his trip taught him that "things were a lot more complicated than they seemed in a lot of ways."

Why do we always have the "doubting Thomases"? I don't understand why some people JUST HAVE TO see it to believe it's true. Thanks for your post.

Just a note - thanks for your service in Korea and Vietnam and thanks for continuing the fight against the anti-American crowd in the US.
