This headline is rather disturbing. A war on pessimism would target ME!
I do agree that so many of the "expectations" of the military action in Iraq were invented by reporters, and I suspect that is why so many wrongly believe that things are not going well in Iraq even as support for it grows.

In less than 6 days we have liberated over half of Iraq, secured the Persian Gulf from being mined or covered with oil, secured the oil loading facilities, secured the oil fields, moved almost 150,000 troops to within 50 miles of Baghdad, and prevented any missiles from landing on Kuwait. In addition we most likely either killed or wounded Saddam and took out most of his command and control. Just what the hell does the military have to do before you lose your pessimism?

I was starting to turn a little negative myself. Too much watching/listening to the TV (even though I was only watching/listening a little bit it was still too much). Today I tuned into Rush, Hannity, and Medved and it gave me a better outlook on things--especially Rush's show.
