In less than 6 days we have liberated over half of Iraq, secured the Persian Gulf from being mined or covered with oil, secured the oil loading facilities, secured the oil fields, moved almost 150,000 troops to within 50 miles of Baghdad, and prevented any missiles from landing on Kuwait. In addition we most likely either killed or wounded Saddam and took out most of his command and control. Just what the hell does the military have to do before you lose your pessimism?

Excellent points! Do you think the leftists will use them in their talking points? :)

I love Neil Cavuto, though I rarely catch his show. I catch his commentary on the overnight reply. As one who works in the financial industry, Neil is the ONLY one I will listen to!

Neil is awesome! Many don't know this but he is battling a severe form of MS. He overcame cancer, and now he is battling MS. Yet through it all he remains positive.

I heard this and immediately sent him an e-mail.
Told him "It should be engraved in stone and dropped in the middle of the reporter pool at General Frank's next press conference!"
Loved it!

It's quite obvious that this war is going to be won inside of a month. Liberals had better get in their 'I told you so!'s now, because they don't have much more time.

"They didn't call it a "video game war." Journalists did. They didn't say Baghdad would be gone in days. Journalists did. They didn't underestimate the power of stubborn Republican Guard troops. Journalists did. And they didn't set themselves up to fail. Journalists did. FIRST IRAQ~~~~THEN THE JOURNALISTS!
(I adore Neil Cavuto)

The press has been very negative and confusing. I did not see much written about our successes. Here's some headlines in the Chicago Tribune today:
US Attack nears Baghdad: Iraqi fire rakes Apaches; Marines fight southern city
Support Convoys face perilous trek to front
Hussein aiming for quagmire; 'We will make it as painful as we can', he pledges
Critics worry about 'Desert Lite'

I like Cavuto very self-effacing always thanking those of us who serve. Great sense of humor too has the ability to laugh at himself. He is not stuck on himself like Dan Blather or Tom Brokenjaw and the leftist from Canada.

How the hell would the Frogs know? They have never fought a war. They have always waited and capitulated until a gracious US saved their weak friggin asses!
"Cheese eating surrender monkeys" is way too weak to describe my dislike for these smelly creatures!

You misunderstand me. My initial sentence was a joke, as I was referring to my overall pessimistic outlook on life. Even as a pessimist, however, I have little doubt that the US military will succeed in ousting Saddam's regime. I'm a pessimist, but I'm not delusional.

I was starting to turn a little negative myself. Too much watching/listening to the TV (even though I was only watching/listening a little bit it was still too much). Today I tuned into Rush, Hannity, and Medved and it gave me a better outlook on things--especially Rush's show.
