It's useful to select who our opponents are and then caricature the Left that way. The Democrats have a "Michael Moore" problem- shrill, anti-war, unAmerican leftists who are so left of center that they pose perception problems for the party. We should seek to elevate people like Moore and convince the American public that Moore and the Democratic party are one and the same. In this case, giving someone too much attention makes sense. Just like the Left keeps trying to elevate Pat Buchannan and David Duke.
