Do they all live in Iraq, or not?Again a western perspective, specifically US perspective. We live here because we want to live here.
These disperate cultures were forced together by Europeans after WWI and kept in forced cohabitation by factors from both within and without.
Given their druthers this region would be a hodgepodge of ethnoreligious enclaves similar to the Balkins.

The British forces will go in on their own time line. They are good fighters once engaged, but often a bit late to the start line. Their tradition of a small professional army means they try to save their troops from harm by thorough preparation and letting the enemy exhaust themselves.

Our soldiers are reported to be giving THEIR rations to hungry Iraqi's and the arab world is reporting falsely. The disinformation must be stopped. War propaganda is war propaganda but for the love of God I am so sick of the lies about our troops and this war.

The Iraqi Minister of Propaganda.....er, Information seems pretty ticked off at CNN. Peter Arnett better watch his backside.

Fred Barnes just said that Basrah may be what tips the war way over to our side. He said word will get out that the "people" of Iraq have risen up and fought back and WON!

Im amazed the press arent reporting much about the inspiration for this uprising
Members of the brit black watch drove into the city, drove through the wall of the baath headquarters. Killed the 20 bodyguards and grabbed the baath general.

None of which means they are not Iraqis. Of course I understand that they don't like each other. They are still natives of Iraq and therefore Iraqis. I don't think much of the Kennedy's from Massachussetts, but if I killed one I wouldn't call him a Canadian.
To: BeerIsGood
You are correct in that they are all citizens of Iraq. However your comparisons to Canadians is not an accurate relflection of feelings. A more analogous comparison would be toward victims in Brazil or France.
