LOL... oh yeah. I've served on these things before. We didn't know half the people in the neighborhood, or even have reason to know or care who they were or what they were doing with their lives. It's not a gossip thing. It's a financial thing. It's protecting an investment.

No, sweetie, I'm not talking of the people on the decision boards--they only are acting on complaints. And those complaints are often directed at people who are alone (sometimes men, also) and defenseless. Which means often its women alone who get the shaft. Mostly its middle aged women, but often the elderly, and sometimes younger single women. If you don't believe that women alone are discriminated against in this society, then obviously you don't know of anyone in that position.
