LMAO....When asked by a reporter about what some of the "military experts" were saying on the news...Rumsfeld responded (paraphrased) "this is a free country, I can't control what they say...now if this were Iraq, we could control it because they would be shot if they said something we didn't like" (remember his is the general feel of what he said, not his exact words)
Rush Limbaugh's comment was "Rumsfeld Dreams of Shooting Press Corps in Briefing"
LMAO....*sigh*....I think it's a vision we've all had!!!

Any truth to the rumor that after 9/11, CNN made a financial deal with Al-Jazeera expanding the Arab networks broadcasting to 24/7 from only 8-hours a day in exchange for rights to air all Al-Jazeera propaganda?
To: cherry_bomb88
Rumsfeld replied to the but-you-told-us-it-would-be-over-in-four-days with a patient "You did not hear me saying that".
He ping-ponged the cost back at them as "unknowable".
He suggested they change analysts, quit following the ones proved wrong.
He asked for single questions and right off the bat some lardass starts a 400-word Tolstoy.
He is without exception not just the smartest man in the room but smarter than the first four rows added together.
That he is criticized by Clinton's pygmys Clark and McCaffrey is pathetic.
I think he's got the secret to cold fusion--how else can he produce endless patience with the dirty-diaper whiner press corps.

Rummy doesn't need a gun to shoot them down.
He effectively disarms and decapitates his enemies with his words.

Now we're treated to the second reporter grossly misquoting Ari's previous statements and having to be corrected by him. Do any of these people actually listen?
To: DannyTN
I know, but sometimes while watching the press and their idiotic rewording and asking the SAME question fifteen times and getting the same answer..
I'M tempted to haul out some weaponry and lay waste to the press pool, it'd improve the gene pool of press corps anyway by removing dead wood and making room for new growth...
/joking.
Sometimes I wonder just how badly it is tempting to Rumsfeld to toss them all out on their rears and declare them PNG.

No.
They get all their talking points from DU, CNN, and Clinton.
They've learned over the years that listening only applies when hey WANT to hear what's being said.

You got that right, Darksheare. It's been obvious for many decades that the media are nothing but the propaganda arm of the left. Look at how they utterly misreported the Vietnam war in the 60s. Or how the NYT, "the newspaper of broken record," consistently represented Stalin as a benign ruler and the Soviet Union as a "workers' paradise" in the 30s.

WTF?
That is the freakiest looking human I've ever seen...

I must point out the most obvious evidence: You get a front row seat at every Press Briefing. <<<The best shot of the war....with the exception of the first 40 TLAMS on Saddams bunker!!
To: Bonaparte
Yeah.
Been wondering how long it'd take for people who aren't on FR to see that the press is a group of leftist ho's.
It is good to see them get skewered and roasted alive by Rumsfeld like that.
But still, they are so annoying...
Like a dug in Alabama tick in a New York carpetbagger's backside.
(Or any tick that'd be anoying to our Madamness Ms. Clinton here in New York..)
I really well and truly hate the press...

I forgot to put that yeah, sometimes I do get it right.
More often, though, I'm being a nutcase and getting people to laugh.

The Toledo Blade?!
They claimed to have dropped "Toledo" from their name years ago.
They are so stinkingly stuck upitty left that they'll NEVER stop being insulting or arrogant about anything they have ot say in response.
Ohio will never be the same.

Aww man..
My brain would melt from reading Lemmon's idiotic drivel.
Good luck, good fortune, and good therapists to you for being brave enough to withstand that onslought of liberal mind mush.
It's been eons since I was last in Ohio.
I still have family in Fostoria, however.
Thanks for the link, it was a breath of memory there.
