As I understand it, the two major Muslim groups are the Shi'ites and the Sunni, and the Sunni are the more "liberal" and less anti-western and as such less likely to turn on us after the military action (mind you, I don't claim to have any expert knowledge so I could be all wrong on this). In any case, any assistance against Saddam is helpful at this moment, and time will tell how the Shi'ites act toward us after this is over.
