I don't think there's anything more to it than coincidence but Oxford, CT was the home of one of the victims of the anthrax mailings who died from exposure.

And in Detroit 4 guys arrested, AND RELEASED, at a water treatment plant at 3:00 a.m. while carrying laptops and removing manhole covers.

Naugatuck has long been known to have a National Superfund Priority site and has multiple contaminated locations. People are not supposed to drink the water there anyway.
Interested FReepers see: Map of Sites... Quite shocking.

I remember riding down Rt. 8 as a kid, back in the 60's. You could always tell when you got to Naugatuck, because the stench from that Uniroyal plant on the river was unbearable, even with the windows rolled up.

I live about two miles from the res.
Intresting to note that one of the 911 a-holes was caught blowing off explosives in Naugatuck State Forest a few months before 911.....
State forest is less than 1 mile from my house.
Isn't diversity great.

Yup, there's a hill near my house that never sees snow. Stuff falls out of the sky and melts as soon as it hits the ground. They're building 450,000.00 houses less than a mile away from one of the sights....when you ask local realtors what the sight is, they reply "it's an abandoned apple orchard"
In Naugatuck state forest, there is one of the last origional stands of old growth forest left in the state, just an interesting side note.

Wasn't it the 1993 WTC bomber that were using the Naugatuck State Forest as a test bed?
I grew up in Thomaston, another great Naugatuck Valley Twon.
