I am often amazed at how quickly people forget that a major function of FR is to debunk published crap that isn't true. Somebody will post an article from spacealiens.com, figuring that people will get a laugh out of it, and the next thing we know, somebody is ranting about how if Bush was a real conservative, he would keep the space aliens locked up and out of our cities.

The press office of U. S. Vice President Richard Cheney has flatly denied the conjectures that one of his daughters went to Jordan, to become part of the "human shield" against attacks on Iraq.

"Neither of his daughters is over there, not in Jordan, not in Iraq. Neither has any intention to travel to that area," a press office official said.

The report by one of the Arab media outlets that Cheney is planning to go there and retrieve the daughter is hilarious, she added.
