My neighbors' dog, a Sheltie, hears fire and police, tornado et al sirens before we do and starts howling. You should have heard her during all the repeats of the air raid sirens in KC and Baghdad last weekend. Poor thing.

My dogs do that also....My little Beagle is really listening right now too.

Our dog, too. He's also handy to have around during tornado warnings. We head for the basement as soon as the warning sounds, but we're not really concerned as long as our dog stays calm (normally storms don't bother him at all). If he starts getting antsy and can't settle down, we get nervous.
