I have a question: we are hearing a lot about the south......and almost nothing about what is going on in the north; should that tell me something?

I see a few reports a day from the north. But I would bet they don't want you to know what they are doing until it's done.

See #3233.

I don't know who would be able to ATTACK from the north. The 101st and the 82nd can secure locations but are ill suited to dislodge armor.

The 4th Mech. Div. armor is still in the ships.

That is why I think something is up with that. At the briefing, more than once I thought the people answering the questions about the time etc. could barely restrain themselves about the true nature of our posistions.

It would make sense to me that we confront them with lots of power from one side and have forces that can attack and retreat quickly to attack them from the north. This would tend to keep them from retreating to the city, it would squeeze them into one area and it would make use of chemicals less likely of they are boxed in.

In addition, I always felt there was more to our arrangment with Turkey than met the eye.
