Well, maybe the illiterates buy the letter routine. Sky News guy says some of the peasants think that if Saddam leaves, they will have an American president. Redlipstick has been using a quote from an Iraqi citizen: "No more Saddam Hussein....Bush!"

Leaving aside the political difficulties, wouldn't it just get everyone's panties in a twist if we accepted Iraq as the 51st state??? ;)
They would then have freedom of religion. Think about an Arab state with that.
Bonus question: What is the only democratic country where Arabs have freedom of religion? Hint: I'm not thinking of Turkey--they're not Arab.
