If we want to make nice to Germany, then we let THEM help. Same-o w/France.

The UN is not Germany or France, nor the USA. It is an ineffective and largely anti-US organization which is a canker.

I would still do it through the UN...but, I wouldn't turn the rebuilding of Iraq to the UN wholesale... No. They can aid us. If they chose not to, then they lose further relevance. Which is fine with me!
